Hi there,

I have recently upgraded to a new mail server, and was wondering what would be the best way to move all my user account, domains and emails across.

Obviously I could just copy all the folders that contain emails across, that would solve the email problem, but I can't figure out how to move user accounts.  I tried making a backup on the old server, and importing it into the new one, but it failed.  Possibly because the new server in windows server 2003, and the old server was Windows Server 2000?

Has anyone any experience in doing this, or do you know where I can find information about it?

Thanks,
Greg.

From the KB via a search for 'move imail': http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-19980116-JB11.htm

Note that an additional step not covered here is changing the IP address(es) in the .REG file before importing--if the IPs on the new server are not identical to those on the old.
