I'm trying to setup our IMAIL server to do some content filtering and forward those emails to a "Junk E-mail" folder. We set everything up for connection filtering and that appears to be working fine (the X-Header is being added to emails and sent to the junk email folder). But we can't seem to get content filtering working. X-IMAIL-SPAM is not being added to emails that contain words/phrases we have listed under phrase filtering. For example, I added "Soma" to the list and sent a test email with Soma in both the head and body. The email made it through to the inbox and when I viewed the header X-IMAIL-SPAM was not included.

We're running version 8.05 on a w2k server. Yes... phrase filtering is enabled and Insert X-Header is the action chosen. Is there something I'm missing in order to enable phrase filtering? We really need to get rid of the emails that contain words like "Viagra," "Cialis," "Soma," and "To be removed." I've looked over the manual and we appear to have everything setup correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Man I feel dumb. I've been playing around with this all day and as soon as I post that I stop and restart the IMAP process and now everything works. Sorry bout that.

I have a few questions though about content filtering.

It appears that about 1/4 of the spam we get has no actual text in the body. It's either 1 picture or a table with 4-5 pictures included. Is there a way to mark these emails as spam if no text is included in the body of the email?

Also, is there a way to filter the content of the subject part of the email? Some emails have no body at all but include some lame subject.
