I'm using WS_FTP Pro on Windows XP (Traditional Chinese).

I find that WS_FTP 9 seems to be unable to handle filename/pathname properly with Chinese characters.

An example is that I can never transfer file to/from my desktop, since "Desktop" folder is named in Chinese in Chinese Windows XP.

File upload from desktop: transfer failed (error: 1004), only an empty file is created on the remote side.

File download to desktop: transfer succeeded but no file is really created.

I guess WS_FTP has done some transformation with the path/filename (e.g. lowercase) before using it. Do my guess correct? Or there is any solution to this problem?
