| Hi All Need an urgent help. the WInPopUp is not malfunctioned after the hardening rules are applied. Now I have this services only. Alerter Application Experience Lookup Service COM+ Event System Cryptographic Services DCOM Server Process Launcher Distributed Transaction Coordinator Error Reporting Service Event Log Help and Support HID Input Service IPSEC Services Ipswitch WhatsUp Engine Logical Disk Manager Messenger MSSQL$WHATSUP NetMeeting Remote Desktop Sharing Network Connections Network Location Awareness (NLA) OpenSSH Server Plug and Play Protected Storage Remote Access Connection Manager Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Secondary Logon Security Accounts Manager Server Shell Hardware Detection System Event Notification Task Scheduler Telephony Terminal Services Windows Audio Windows Management Instrumentation Workstation please help |

| What do you mean by hardening rules? Local Security Policy, GPO, software firewall, or something else? I knew WinPopUp existed back on Win95/98 but it does not appear to be a native tool of Win2K3. I assume a re-install of the tool may resolve the issue. Did you previously have WinPopUp listed as a Service?

| Hi What I am talking is the OS hardening on Windows. ->> to disable un-used services. before hardening, the win popup is no problem. howeverm rght now, even I enable back the alter and messenger services, the pop up still cannot resumed. Regards |
