Hello,

I see that there is no option to perform a device search. I need this for our users to easily get to their device w/o having to thumb through or remember which of the many maps its in.  Does anyone have a suggestions?  I must maintain devices in separate maps to assign access only to their area of responsibility.

Thanks.

John

Actually, there is a search facility in SP1; it's just very well hidden, as I described in the last response I posted to this thread: http://www.ipswitch.com/forums/shwmessage.aspx?forumid=14&messageid=5482

I have actually already used this feature to help me integrate a little search bar on the side bar of my personal (development) version of my Extensions, and so this feature should make its appearance in the next version. It is very handy to have...

Thanks Nathan.

I'm hopeful that the device search will appear in the next version.  BUT- in the meantime can you tell me which asp files I will need to modify in order to have this option appear in the sidebar for our users.  It's great that you had found DeviceSearch.asp hidden away.  This is one of the 'must have' items, else we will have to hold off releasing this to production.

Thanks alot.

John

The device search feature does not seem to work on our web gui.  You can input a search criteria but you always get an empty results list.  I'm using some very simple device names to search by also.  We're running SP1.  Any thoughts as to why it is not working?
