I'm a new user of WUP, I need to supervise about 1000 nodes, and to collect stats for my customer, I would like to know, if I need to install SQL server, or can I use MSDE

I have a similar question,

I'm installing WUP-sp1 on a clean 2003 server(with sp1) - all of our other 2003 servers run SQL2000(SP3a)

then will attempt to import my WUG maps etc.

Wonder if i should use SQL2000 on my new WUP server? are there advantages and if so should I install SQL2000 before or after the WUP install - i did some tests- intalled SQL2000 first - and then as per some ipswitch documents moved or created new whatsup database - ran some scripts that created tables yada yada - and it seemed ok but how do i confirm.
