Okay.. this morning (its around 2h00 am at the time of this writting)
I switched the disk that contained my IMail server.

D:\IMail

I changed the two disk which were software RAID 1.
To two smaller disk which are now also software RAID 1.

I used Veritas Backup Exec to do the backup and specified to retain
ACL, since there were also our web site on this server.

So.. everything went fairly smoothly... except one thing..

LDAP won't start!

here is the info I found fiddling with misc stuff...

--

When I try to start IMail LDAP from the service MMC i get this message:

Windows could not start IMail LDAP server on the Local Computer.
For more information, review the System Event Log.
If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor,
and refer to service-specific error code 21.

--

If I read the System Event Log:

The IMail LDAP Service service terminated with service-specific error 21.

--

If I try to start the service manually with those command line options:

IMAIL\OpenLDAP\bin\slapd.exe service
I get nothing... just the command prompt again

IMAIL\OpenLDAP\bin\slapd.exe -t
config check failed

I checked the config file but everything seems fine to me...

Anyone have an idea about that?

I forgot to say we use IMail 8.11 on Windows 2000 server.
