One of my Windows 2003/SP2 servers refuses to let WhatsUp V12.4 monitor any of the services. When I try to browse for services on the server I get an immediate "Failed to Connect to Device. Access is Denied" error.

Every login account (both local and domain) I have tried has administrative privileges on the server. I can manage the server remotely and login using terminal services. It is just that WhatsUp won't connect.

Firewall is disabled. RPC is running. It looks like all the other services that should be running are ok. I have tried using another slightly older version of WhatsUp and get the same results so the problem is with the server and not WhatsUp.

Not having any problems monitoring services with my other 30+ servers. Ideas...?

Are remote WMI connections allowed on that server? See http://www.poweradmin.com/help/enableWMI.aspx

Yes, all of the accounts that I have tried to use are configured in WMI Control for full remote access.

Anything atypical about this server - e.g. WUG and the server you wish to monitor on different domains, etc?

No. It is in the same domain and on the same subnet as the WUP server.

Have you tried a third-party WMI browser app to see if it can connect ot his server? Microsoft has a good set that can be downloaded from:
