Just installed SP1 on a Compaq DL320  933Mhz P3 Server with 1GB RAM and the Web interface is incredibly slow.  Just wondering if there are any others with magic tips on improving performance.

WUP is the only application running on this Win2000 SP4 server.

I have imported my WUG 8.x maps over which contain about 320 devices, the bulk of which (99%) are just simple Ping, SNMP checks.

Task manager shows some peaking of the nmService but nothing that seems out of the ordinary.  Page refreshes are taking an average of 5s - 10s.  Even the ipSwitch and WUP logo are taking forever to load.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

I have also noticed a marked degradation in performance of both the web interface and the local GUI since applying SP1 today.

I noticed the same thing.  After I did the MSDE reindex in this thread: http://www.ipswitch.com/forums/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID=14&MessageID=5206, performance was much better.

Thanks for the information.

I tried re-indexing the database (which was only 35MB) and it did not make a difference.

Every device and group had been imported from WUG, so I decided to re-install WUP with no devices and the web interface is fine now.

I discovered a few groups and the web interface is still humming along normally.

So, the issue was definitely with the imported WEG data, but I'm not sure which part.  I think I will import the old data 1 map at a time and see what happens.
