In this case the client is Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 IMail IMAP service is running. IMAP account on TBird was created without problem. Using drag and drop I'm copying over the POP3 account's data to the new IMAP account. I'm doing this folder-by-folder. While the first folders were copied OK I have several folders where the copy process stops with an "Unable to log in" message (translated from German). After that I get the login dialog again. But even with correct user/password combination the "Unable to log in" message appears again. After that - in most cases - TBird dies. Interesting thing is that it seems to happen with the same message every time. With one folder of 180 msgs it is always message 104 that kills the system. In another folder it always message 43 of 202. Might be depending on the message's content.
