Is there a timeout in imail that would cause a user to lose their new emails? They lose the emails that take some length to type. Any ideas?

I am assuming that this is in the webmail interface. You said they lose emails that take some time to type, any idea on how long? If we can narrow it down a little it might help.

I have not seen any kind of timeout setting for webmail and the only thing I can think of would be a session timeout. Does it kick them out of the webmail and make them log back in or does it just take them back to their inbox? The reason I ask is that I know the admin portion will time the session out after a while (don't remember the exact time) and make you log back in.

edit - it will time the user out. My recommendation if they know it is going to be a really long email - type the text of it in notepad or word and then paste it into the email.

Would the KB referenced also apply to v11.01? I have users who are getting timed out of Webmail and have to login throughout the day?

Thanks,

Kevin

That KB is not for version 11.01.  When your users are getting timed out, is it after aproximately 20 minutes of idle time?  Or while typing a long email?  In IIS there is a session timeout that by default is configured for 20 minutes.
