| Hi Yousuf,
You need to check with your local Telco to see if they host any SMS gateway server at their end. You need to get the gateway phone number and create a new provider in Manage providers. You need to subscribe their SMS gateway service.
Alternately you can set up a SMS gateway server in your office which can be used for other monitoring devices like your servers, databses etc.
Ofcourse both the solutions will comes with extra cost.

| Dear Taj,
Thanks for your input for my query; however in our network setup we have our own SMS gateway server subscribed with our local telecom service provider, that SMS server i want to map with Whatsup Gold server to send alert by SMS.

| Hi Yousuf,
Since you already have SMS gateway, I beleive your SMS gateway should be SMTP server as well, since most of the SMS gateway has the SMTP server service. You can create a new 'email action' in 'action library' and configure the email to be sent to the SMS gateway, which in turn will send SMS to you. I guess your servers and databases should be configured to do the same.
If you need to use 'SMS Direct' option, you need to have GSM modem with SIM card connected to the whatsup server.
I hope this is the better solution, but I may be wrong and there may be more better solution lets see if we can hear from other forum users.

| Hi Taj,
thanks for your advice; better we have to go with first option (SMS Gateway Server) as long as we are subscribed with our telecom service; while you get an update from others, by the time from my end let me ask the SMS server administrator how is their config and server service.
Thanks,
Yousuf |
