Is there some way we can have 8 different pc's all running WSFTP Pro share the same ini files for the sites?

It is becoming more and more of a problem to maintain the site ini files on these 8 pc's. At this point they are all different, again, some with the same site having different passwords.

I don't find any information on this in the manuals.

TIA.

AH! I have figured it out. If anyone wants to have a shared 'sites' ini file that is located on the network, do this, at least on Window 2000:

After WS FTP Pro is installed, open REGEDIT

Locate this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\WS_FTP\DataDir

and change the path to your nework location.

Copy your current entire C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Ipswitch\WS_FTP folder (or whereever your copy of the Ipswitch appliction data got installed into) and all its files and folders to your network location.

Restart WS Ftp Pro - and you'll be using the the ini's from your network location.

Still to test - multiple instances of WS Ftp Pro on different workstations all sharing this ws_ftp.ini 'sites' file.

Also to test "Firescripts" and "SSL" (also stored in this folder) - which we don't use and therefore I won't be testing. I'll leave the testing of these to the rest of you.
