We are using wsftp server 7 with the web module installed. We have run into multiple problems since installing. The latest problem we have run into is we are timing out during uploads when using the thin client. It will upload around 70 - 90 MB before timing out. Has anybody ran into this issue and if so how were you able solve it?

Thanks

Hi,

What browser is being used to upload with?

What do your server logs say is the reason they are failing? You may want to consider upping the logging level to Verbose and try the upload and check the logs.

Are you connecting via HTTP or HTTPS?

Was there any resolution to this problem?  I have this same issue and I cannot find any corresponding timeout setting.  I am only able to upload about 30meg before the page simply times out with an "Internet Explorer cannot dispaly the page" message.  I have our max upload limit set to 500 meg.

It was timing out for us at 20 minutes. You will need to make the adjustment in the web.config file. It is about midways down right underneath where you would enable the log files. I think it is the HTTP Runtime section I will updates this later when I can check my file. There should be a timeout session setting that is set at 20min and the will also be another timeout setting that is set at 1200 seconds. Let me know if this works for you.

That sounds like it may be our issue, 20 minutes sounds about right.  I found the setting in the web.config file.  Should I change both the 20 minutes and the 1200 seconds to the same *amount of time or is the 20 minutes the only setting that counts?

Thanks!

found all that stuff in same file... would be curious though if both the 20 and 1200 need to be set to the same for timeout issue...as well as the browser diagnostic section timeouts.
