| | Hi folks, I wanted to take this oppurtunity to get some feedback from our user community. So my questions is... If there was one feature that you could add to the IMail product line, what would it be? Please don't be shy, but I do ask that you keep this thread on topic and limit your post to new features/functionality. If there is a particular issue that you're experiencing within the product, please drop me a private message and I'll see what we can do to address those concerns. Thanks for reading and happy posting! Jason Henline Product Development Manager Ipswitch - Messaging Division http://www.imailserver.com

| | Thanks for asking. 1) Better control over vacation message and/or autoresponder to reduce backscatter. For example, an option to send vacation messages to inbox messages only, never send to messages identified as spam. Or in autoresponder, an option to send only once to a given address. Also better detection/avoidance of mail loops in autoresponder. 2) Better list administration including auto deletion from lists across multiple local domains when an account is deleted, a way to subscribe a user to multiple lists using check boxes on a "list of lists". 3) Import/export capability for address book. 4) Web calendar integration with Outlook. 5) A forwarding option to not forward messages identified as spam. 6) Automatic deletion of local aliases when an account is deleted. 7) LDAP support for multiple addresses (alias addresses both user and domain aliases) to better integrate with third party spam gateways. 8) Additional parameters in the LDAP command line utility so all LDAP fields can be modified. 9) Command line utility that can change the user reply-to address and/or forwarding address Finally, this is not a software update, but you need to expand your support hours or at least have a pay-per-incident on-demand option during off hours. Installs and upgrades are always done off hours, so that is when support is most needed. |

| #1 feature request for us and our customers - Better SPAM control.
We host hundreds of domains for customers as well as their email. This past year we have switch over 60 customers to use GMAIL apps for email because of the spam control. Its free and works great. Customers report between 50-75 spam messages per day, now they are on gmail and everything goes into the spam folder.
We have all of the spam indicators on, taking full advantage of spam control in IMail 10....but I am loosing customers (and money) as they ask to switch email providers or even hosting providers. |

| | Mailbox filesize rollover. Our journaling accounts sometimes hit the 4gb limit in windows. I would like to be able to set an option to set the maximum size of mailboxes and optionally automatically rename the full mailbox and place the new message in a new mailbox. For example. I set the max mailbox size to 2gb. When a message comes to the main.mbx, the system checks to see if the message will put the mailbox over the 2gb limit. If so, the system renames Main.mbx to Main-2.mbx, creates a new Main.mbx and places the new message in the new main mailbox. Currently, the last message that fills the 4gb max gets truncated and can cause a lot of problems in the imail client, pop3, and imap clients. |

| I attended a seminar about IPv6 yesterday and it seems we need to start thinking about the day the first users with IPv6 only will come on-line or the day the first servers come on-line with IPv6 only. Using the current trend it will be late 2011 when all IPv4 adresses have been assigned to registrars *AND* those registrars have assigned those numbers to endusers. If a late rush sets in to "get the last IPv4 numbers" it may well be before that time.I want to be able to start testing next year which means somewhere in 2009 there needs to be an IMail version which can handle IPv6. |

Though we are using Premium Antispam (imail 10.01 plus) I have al messages tagged as spam delivered in one box. I have to check this box and forward false positives to the intended recepient. That's to much administration for me. The verification checks should be on a seperate page and not with the DNSBL. Configurable bounce messages.

| | To have a new mail notification using webmail. Perhaps a popup in the lower right (ie desktop alerts) or a more obvious marker inside webmail. |

| | As a private school we send a lot of mail within our country but... also a lot abroad. We would very much like to be able to set more than one signature in the webmail so we can have a Dutch signature and an English one. We use the webmail extensive, most of our 2000 student and employees use ONLY the webmail. Bonno |
