| Hi,
I'm running Imail server 8.11 and am getting this error in the logs at approximately 30 minute intervals:
SMTPD (0000000000000000) Info - Queue manager starting Queue run 7 SMTPD (CP) error 2 executing "E:\IMail\imailsrv" -q x
(Queue run number obviously changes with each log entry, ie Queue run 1, 2, 3, 4 etc)
Running the log analyser doesn't seem to show what this error is, all mail functions seem to be working fine, and I couldn't find anything when searching the Imail site, apart from a similar worded error but for the fax service (different executable).
Any ideas as to what this error is and how to fix it?
Many thanks.
EDIT - Oh I should add that I see no "imailsrv" actually in the directory indicated in the error log |

| Try to remove any prevously defined mailing lists. IMail is trying to start the imailsrv program, but did not found executable module

| > Oh I should add that I see no "imailsrv" actually in the directory indicated in the error log That definitely represents at least partial corruption of your installation (disk/OS issues, viruses, server compromise, who knows?). IMAILSRV.EXE is an essential part of the IMail suite. If it is missing, it is likely that other executables are...misplaced. --Sandy

| There are no mailing lists, this is the Imail express version which doesn't include them. I've done a test install on another system and imailsrv is not even installed as part of the installation, so I'm a little confused as to why its even trying to call up an executable that is not included with the package.
I'm assuming that the imailsrv executable is actually the executable required for the mailing list function? |

| yes, this is the mailing list feature oddly, but your server consist of some imail list config records, thats why you receive the following error. Maybe this relates to all imail express installations? I'll check my logs later at home, but i dont remember something like that

| Oh well, I guess its just something I'm going to have to live with if I wish to continue to use the express version. Shame there won't be any further patches released for it, but I can understand Ipswitch wanting to encourage people to buy the full product.
It doesn't affect the functionality, its just annoying to have logs filling up with this error for a non existent feature! |
