| Did a search but didn't find anyone with the same problem as me...
I have 7 or 8 connections saved in my WS_FTP Pro 2007.1 (licensed copy).
Two of these connections are no longer valid (the username and password no longer authenticate), so I need to change them. The problem is, when I start up WS_FTP, it tries to automatically connect to both of them, and fails with the normal "Connection Error" box.
The application then immediately freezes, and I cannot do anything to get out of it. I have to kill the process using Task Manager.
My question is... has this happened to anyone else, and if so, how did you get around it? I can see where most of the stuff is stored, in the .ini files in the Application Data folder, but I figured I'd ask here before messing with stuff that could end up making the situation worse. |

| Navigate to your C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Ipswitch\WS_FTP and open the wsftp_options.ini. Look for the ClassicStartup under the [General] section. Make the value 1 and this will change the startup to the Open Blank Workspace view. You will then be able to edit the site profile. You can change the value back once you have change the passwords.
