| | Hi, i have a switch where i check all of his interfaces. So i have 45 active monitor ( one by interface) But i would like to show only 2 in a view. (i would like to see only the state of 2 interface which give us access to the web) The only thing i find is to show every active monitor (for a device) with the device active monitor states So if someone know how to do it it would be great . Thanks |

| Thanks for the answer but i think i don't explain well my problem
Because i don't want to show a link for my internet connection, i just want to see the state of active monitor of ONE interface.
I can show state for all interface ( with device active monitor states) but i just want to see only one ( port 3 ).
Sometime picture is more efficient than explanation....so i take a picture
Thanks for your help

| | Ok, now I understand. This is not possible... Which in my opinion makes sense : if you want to monitor the interface, why don't you want to see its status... ? (Ok, I could say it differently : do you really need to monitor these 45 interfaces ? In my opinion : > Either they plug end-user devices and it's a bad idea to monitor them (because people turn down their pc, or take their laptop with them, or whatever); > Or they plug important devices like servers, and then why not directly monitor the interface of the server, instead of the one on the switch ? Anyway, I think you have two options : > Stop monitoring the interfaces you don't want to view, > Or, in the web interface, add to your view content a report : Problem Areas > Specific Device > All Down Interfaces. In this case, your view will show nothing unless one or more interfaces are down - Among which you will see the ones you are interested in -if they are down. That said, my previous answer remains applicable, although I should have mentioned that it applies to the map view so I'm not sure it suits you !
