We've just upgraded from version 11 to 12.

Web console works with no problems, but cant seem to open the Windows console.

When I select the What's Up icon, nothing happens.

Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this. There no messages in the event log related to this.

Can you go to your WhatsUp installation folder (typically C:\Program Files\Ipswitch\WhatsUp) and then double click on nmconsole.exe? Does that bring up the console for you?

Same thing here.  I had it with version 11, upgraded to 12 hoping that would solve it, but no.  It's been posted on the board a few times and the only solution posted which I believe was related to the database didn't work for me.  So I opened a support ticket.  If I get a solution I'll post it here to help others.

Same problem, nmconsole doesn't start but web interface works perfectly. Also tried to upgrade to the latest version (12.3.1) but nothing changed still got the same error. GeneralErrorLog shows only rows with PasSNMP sources

Can you please elaborate more on the "same error". What exact error message do you get?

No Whatsup console opened, etheir when launch it from traybar or directly nmconsole.exe executable. When it starting Whatsup logo shows for some time then nothing, after upgrade to SQL2005/12.3.1 Visual Studio JIT Debuger asks to debug process NmConsole.
