Our company is currently using "version 2.0.8.1 Built 2008.03.05".

When two people are instant messaging, if the sender closes the conversation window and then wants to send another message (by double clicking on the name in the Ipswitch IM list window) the recipient gets a separate window that pops up. This is an annoyance and I've had many users complain about it, not just a few (at a company of about 100 in size).

Example: User Bob sends a message to Jack of "Just wanted to say good morning". Jack receives message in a new popup window and replies with "Good morning". Bob closes his conversation window but Jack leaves his open. Bob then remembers to ask Jack something and sends a message that says "oh hey, do you want to get breakfast?". Jack gets a separate conversation window that pops up that shows Bob's last message. Jack now sees two conversation windows on his screen.

Like I said, this is just an annoyance but I would say it's pretty critical, especially when this scenario happens very often. Please fix in the next release or let me know if there is already a fix or option I missed.

I've seen the same thing, and you're right, it is annoying. When we contacted ipswitch they said, next release.

The question is when will the next release be available? I have had this product for a good period of time and I know their release dates are not a high priority when it comes to the IM product.
