Hello,
we had the need to have some kind of calendar application email our helpdesk for repeat-tasks. We looked into a few different applications but nothing was as we liked it, exchange  came closest but shared calendars dont send reminders to anyone unfortunatly.
I wrote a little calendar for WUG instead, it is bound to each device and consists of:
1x new DB table (calendar).
1x new mini report (see attachment), choosen from the "General Reports" section.
1x new entry form (see attachment).

It sends an email to a (number of) fixed email address (configurable) and to additional email addresses (in form) via one re-ocurring action, the helpdesk gets a HTML email with a form where they have to enter the Change Request number created in and submit it. It also sets devices into maintenance mode automatically etc. .

Have a look at the attachments and let me know if you would be interested in it and I can package it up (will take me a while to get it to install automatically though).

Regards,
Andi

I'd be interested in checking that out. I believe we could find a few uses for it around here.

Thanks,

David

We are definitely interested in this!! How does it interact with maintenance mode? Does it use the schedule you input into the calendar? Can you select multiple devices?

Hello,
It just switches the DB field of the device that indicates maintenance mode and it is bound to that one device only since the calendar entry is assigned to it too.
