Details
The 12.0.2 patch release is to be installed over an existing WhatsUp Gold v12 application. The patch includes fixes to the following issues:

* The rate of change WMI Active Monitor causes the WhatsUp engine to crash when monitoring specific WMI counters.
* A specific WinEventLog Passive Monitor causes the WhatsUp engine to crash.
* The WinEventLog Passive Monitors, that use credentials that are deleted from the Credentials Library, cause the WhatsUp engine to crash.
* A Performance Monitor exception error, in an Interface Utilization data rollup task, caused the database to grow rapidly. The rollup task was not being rescheduled due to this exception error.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the patch! I've ran into the rollup problem yesterday, so this was great timing!

The interfaces table is purged, but my database is still 4G. When I try to validate/compact the database, I get the warning:

CHECKCONSTRAINTS:
Error in table '[dbo].[PivorReportToCategory]': value '[nWebUserID = '2'' violates '[FK_PivutReportToCategory_nWebUserID]'.

Then nothing happens.

Can you help me with this?

After applying the patch the service still continues to crash:

Faulting application NMService.exe, version 12.0.1.877, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.1433, fault address 0x000127da.

Any help appreciated!
Thanks,
Craig

After installing the patch and running the database validate and compact we also received the error

"CHECKCONSTRAINTS:Error in table '[dbo].[PivorReportToCategory]': value '[nWebUserID = '2'' violates '[FK_PivotReportToCategory_nWebUserID]'."

How can we solve this database error ?

HI,

I also have this problem despite running the v12 patch. Did you manage to get the issue resolved & if so how?

Could you please provide steps of how the database doubles its size? The first step toward fixing the problem is to duplicate your problem.

Thanks!

Craig:

Could you please provide steps to make the crash happen? What OS are you running?

A.J. & Dirk:

I can't reproduce your problem regarding the Database "Valid & Compact" utility. Do you mind to send us a copy of your database? You can use the console "Tools -> Database Utilities -> Backup SQL Database" to save a copy of your database.

Please also mention which OS you are running. Thanks!
