| Where are the settings saved on the client machine? Specifically I am interested in where the Personal Contacts are stored. We need to move our IM Server to a new machine which is going to change everyones login since we are using NT Authentication. Because the Public Contacts show all of the users in the domain we have many users who have setup their own personal contacts and it would be nice if this was some sort of text file that I could simply run a find & Replace on the domain name within the file. Is there somewhere that a file like this is created when Personal Contacts are created?

| the users settings / Personal Contacts are stored in the registry
the Personal Contact List is in
HKLM\Software\Ipswitch\Messenger Server\Domains\%DomainName%\users\%UserName%\Buddies
so if you wanted to do a search and replace export the HKLM\Software\Ipswitch\Messenger Server\Domains\%DomainName%\users\ hive and do your search and replace on the exported registry file and then import the registry on the new server
