| | Please advise how to capture crc errors from cisco routers. I notice the mib walk shows interface in "errors" and interface out "errors" but I want to get more granular and view or monitor CRC errors. Thanks for your input. |

| | First of all i am not a dude, so would appreciate in the future if you refrain from this sort of salutation. Anyway, what I found out, CRC errors are most likely int in errors. You'll have to make sure your routers are configured to speak back to the snmp-server with this command; snmp-server (ip address goes here) then you do these steps which were given to me today by Ipswitch tech support; "Would like to monitor SNMP values for 'ifinError' on router
TS/Fix Action:
1. Active Monitor Library > New > SNMP Monitor > [...] > IP address > Credential > Instance/Counter

Thanks for this info. Have you managed to configure this with any type of Threashold? for instance, if ## of errors > XX send alert?
