Quick story :  I have 600 nodes in one folder called network. I group my campuses using dynamic folders.  but not all my devices exist on campus's (not mapped). I use other dynamic folders to account for these but it can be tedious to look for things.

My request:  add a Search for device dialog in the top header  of the devices tab  using a combo box  concept to allow for search by ip address or device name.  Also  add a "+ add Content" for the home workspace item that performs the same search function with the addition to allow for partial search.   example  swMAIN*   would return say  -   swMAIN1a, swMAIn1b, swMAIN2a in the window. You could then click on one of the result items to go to the specific device screen.

note: Your program does a very good job of directing you to devices with problems (1 click). But you are several clicks and a long search away from any devices that you just want to look at.   I have always used whatsup as a launcher and a mapper and with the new version a pretty good SNMP grapher too.  keep it coming.

We have a feature request in our tracking system for a "device search" capability.  I'll add you to it.

For what it's worth, while it's not exactly what you wanted, you can achieve similar functionality through the use of dynamic groups.  You can create a dynamic group that looks at the device display name and/or IP address to display a specific device.

Have a good one,
