When downloading files from within Netscape 7 on a Unix box two things happen each time that are both annoying and not standard with downloads from other ftp sites.

Upon depression of the download button a new window ( blank ) opens with the message "Document Done" displayed in the message bar. This window remains open until closed manually.

When the "Enter name of file to save to ..." is displayed the default name of the file is entered with a leading space, followed by a quotation mark, then the name of the file selected for download, again followed by a quotation mark. This is not standard for ftp downloads. If the user does not remove the leading space and the two quotation marks these become part of the file name saved to the Unix drive. Additionally if the user closes the annoying blank web page prior to selecting a name for saving the file then, the message box to "Enter name of file to save to ... " never opens for saving.
