Ok, I had LDAP running ok for a bit, but now the service fails to start. The error code is 19, and it mentions that the event log is corrupt.

What event log is it referring to? How can I fix this?

Thanks!

The Windows Event Log is what is being referred to.

I'd delete the System log and try again.

I turned off the event service and deleted the event log files, but I still get the problem.

Application Event Log:
"The description for EventID(1281) in Source (OpenLDAP-slapd) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event. The event log file is corrupt."

System event Log:
"The IMail LDAP Service service terminated with service-specific error 19."
