| | I had an old old free version of WS_FTP and just bought the home version of WS_FTP. However, WSFTP Home doesn't seem to have a feature that I specifically bought it for: The button that saves the current folders as the startup directories. I manage about 50 websites and that was a useful feature, especially for sites that have a lot of information in subdirectories. I don't want to be constantly typing in the paths to startup directories. Also, for some reason the button "Change Directory - Enter or browse for the folder name you would like to change to" does not let me use the browse option: "Failed to open specified root directory." What's up with that?

File > Site Manager > Your Site Here > Edit > Start-up > Fill in the appropriate info in the boxes > Oks you can also create your sites with the new Workspace Feature...for more info go here...

| I specifically want to avoid typing in the start-up paths because I change the startup directories often, depending on what I'm working on. What program these days makes you type in the path, anyway? You should be able to at least browse to it.
As for the workshop option, that apparently is available only in WSFTP Professional (and even then it appears rather complicated).
In the Windows 95 version of WS_FTP, you could click on a button - Save Current Folders as Start-Up Folders.
It's pretty amazing when you use a free product for seven years, then buy a version because you feel you should, and the new product is actually worse than the old one.
