We are having issues with the Reporting functionality of WhatsUp v11.02. Whenever I try to run any report, I get the following error:

Source:'ChartDirector'
Line:7828 Char:1
Error:0 'Automation error
The object invoked has disconnected from its clients. '
v
(null)

We are not having any other issues, and I have rebooted our server and tried running the report again, but to no avail, same error.

The steps I am taking to run the report is. Click on a Device-->click on Reports-->Device-->it pulls up the webpage, and then I select any report (i.e. Ping Availability).

Anyone else have this problem? Or any ideas what may be the culprit? Unfortunately I am not a DBA nor a Web programmer, just a Server Engineer, and have no clue where to start to resolve this.

Thanks,
Dave

We did a clean WUG 11 reinstallation and now we are getting the message "The object invoked has disconnected from its clients" when executing a report.

Add a new Performance Monitor for the device and delete the ones that are not working.

Hello,
Have you upgraded to 11.0.3 yet and if you have, you are still getting this error, correct?

Is this local MSDE or remote SQL Server?

I had the same problem and restarting the "ipswitch Whatsup engine" service solved it

I was also having the same error, I have 11.03 installed on a remote sql server.  It has been working fine for some time now.  I restarted the whatsup servcies that did not work, I rebooted the box still did not work.  We have recently enabled Altiris client on this box.  I disabled the 3 Altiris services rebooted the server and its working fine now.

We are also getting this exact same error. Has anyone found a fix for this?
