Running IMail 8.05 and using webmail, occasionally a user gets a mailbox that reports a size several hundred megs higher than it actually is, and they can't delete any messages. The only solution we have found is to rename it, and select all the messages and choose Move To and put them into a new mailbox.... but wondered if this is something more easily repaired as this process is long and slow if they have a lot of emails. Is there any way to check the contents of the MBX file and correct whatever may be wrong?

Thanks.

1) Stop shouting

2) Try using the search function: This has been discussed before either here or on the email forum list and I believe is corrected in a later version.

I have searched and searched, to no avail. I was hoping someone could steer me to the answer, as I am coming up empty.

I didn't get a reply until I shouted....

Does anyone know where this was discussed? I cannot find it anywhere... please help if you know.

Thanks for the reply.

We are not sitting around twittling our thumbs doing nothing. We are all working and doing what our normal jobs require us to do. I will attempt to follow up and do the searches that you seem to not be able to do when I have the time to give you the information you desire.

Ask again and your request will be ignored entirely.

FYI, the search system used here is terrible.  I have had the same issue when people say to search for some keyword and have the knowledgebase return no results.

IMO, "Search it has been discussed before" is not a good reply.

No uid and xml files in 8.x. Never had much of a problem with this, but now that we're at 9.21, we get this...I usually have a main.~bx file I can delete and it works fine.
