| Hi There, We currently have a Windows 2000 server running IMail 8.12 but have to move to a Windows 2003 server. I can't ghost the drive or upgrade the current os, so I have to rebuild everything on the new server. What I wanted to know is does anyone have any advice / tips / tricks about copying IMail from one server to another while maintaining the configuration intact? I've found one KB article here about copying a domain . . . http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-20000510-DM02.htm I kind of get the idea that if I copy everything to the same location, and dump the registry downwards from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Ipswitch\IMail . . . that it might be enough to copy the entire configuration. But wanted to ask first of course.

| As long as you install IMail to the same place as before and the same directories exist on the new box as the old then you should be OK.
Just copy HKLM\Software\Ipswitch\IMail\ from the old box to the new one, and then move the User Directories and spool files (you may want to do this with all services stopped (on both boxes) so the Mailboxes and spool files aren't curropted)

| You did not mention whether you were changing the server IP; if so, you will need to make corresponding edits in the exported Registry file before importing. --Sandy
