I'm trying to set up a shopping cart on my site.  Some folders need to be writeable so when I click on them in the ftp program I go to chmod (UNIX) and select readable and writeable.  Then when I go back to my setup to install the shopping cart it says the files still arent' writable.  Any hints or tips to what I may be doing wrong would be great.

Thanks, Angela

so, your saying you can't change the 'permissions'....I wonder if the 'server' is not allowing you the change them....did you try contacting the 'admin' of the 'server' to see if you are allowed to change the 'permissions'....

kind regards, Paul C. Beugeling
