I have been using different versions of WSFTP for years. Our computer recently had a virus and had to be reformatted. I tried pulling a couple of html files off my web site and made a minor change to one and tried to upload it.

At first the little status window says "busy" then it says it it is uploading. It says the file exists, do I want to overwrite. I tell it yes. It sits for a long time, then retries a couple of times. Then it says Append/Restart not permitted, try again. When I go to the web page that I was trying to change it is just blank. Nothing, just a white screen. So, something went through, I mean, at least it erased what was there. What am I doing wrong? Could there be a problem at Earthlink that is preventing it from being uploaded properly? Should I just try again later? I have continued to use WSFTP because I have never had a problem with it. Help?

I would just suggest to go back through all the "settings" for your account and check to see if they are what you want them to be...but I believe the Append/Restart message comes from the 'Host' and not the FTP Client...so, I would also check there to see if they could adjust your 'permissions'
