These are the problems that I've had so far, btw the application looks very promising.

1) The instructions don't specify that you have to use a user from the AD database in the remote server, I was trying to login with a user that has system administration rights in the IMail database, after several unsuccessful tries I figured out that I've to use and AD user to login.

2) As suggested in the instructions, to improve the performance I tried to turn off the encryption by adding the DWORD Encrypt with a value of 0 in HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\services\imailapisvc\parameters, but even after restarting the service, it doesn't allow any logins with Encrypt data unchecked. I'm attaching the window that appears with the error.

3) In the Services | Queue Mgr tab, in Tries before sent to gateway it shows 6 while using the Web Admin shows 0 in the SMTP settings.

The authenticated user does have to be a user on the Windows system or Domain.  In the next release, it will need to be an Admin user (or you can configure a separate list of authorized users).

In the next version the encryption option will no longer exists - encryption will always be on when using a remote connection.  The encryption option was added to help with performance on some future architectural changes we will be making to the web client, but now will no longer be needed.  We saw no real performance gain in the wadmin by turning it off.

The services - Queue manager - gate tries will be fixed for technical preview 3.
