| Excuse my naivety, but I'm new to IMail. All the mail that gets sent to accounts that don't exsist, it stored somewhere on the server?? Also, how long are SMD files stored for??? Thanks |

| TheMoon, if you create an alias called nobody, it will catch all mails sent to the correct domain but wrong user. Just point nobody to a user like root or else....
Have fun.

| Mail to accounts that don't exist should never be accepted by your server. It is rejected at the SMTP protocol (envelope) level, and the decision to send a bounce message is made by the remote server. There is no spool file created for messages to nonexistent accounts. Contrary to the response from Camaleonte, you should NOT enable the 'nobody' feature unless you want to be a friend to spammers and endanger the resources of your server. The 'nobody' alias has very specific purposes, and from your post it is clear that you do not need it. --Sandy

| Sandy, you completely right.
Its a give and take. Sometimes it helps! Themoon, Sandy is right. Apologize for not having said the risks of using nobody alias.
