I've been asked by a business partner to create a x509 v3 certificate for them to connect to our ftp server.  We are running wsftp 5 on an NT 4 server.  Can anyone help me confirm what needs to be done?  One will wsftp support the certificate? two is it any different than creating any other certificate?  Please help.  Thanks

Create an SSL certificate for them. As far as I know SSL is an x509v3 based encryption.

Thanks.  I thought so but I wasn't sure when they made the request.  Especially after the fact that I had given them the specs for our server.
