Our legal department is pushing us to add a disclaimer at the footer of all outbound messages. We have ICS/IMail 2006.2 Premium installed. Is this built in to IMail? If not, does someone have a recommended application that allows us to add this to all outbound messages but does not add to internal? Thanks!

Rick,

Currently, if you create a trailer.txt file at your primary domain level, it will be appended to all outgoing mail.  But this will only work with plain text messages, it will not recognize html.

It is in the works for the next release to allow recognition of html & plain text in the "trailer.txt" file.

A correction to my previous post, trailer.txt will only work for outgoing messages that are sent in plain text.  All messages going out in html will not display the trailer.

This feature has been corrected to work for all messages, but will not be available until the next release.

So the big question is - When should I expect this update to be available?

It will be in the 2006.21 release.  The actual date has not yet been determined.

Step 1: www.google.com

Step 2: type "add smtp footer"

Step 3: press the button "I'm feeling lucky"

You're forwarded to the first occurence of a page that is related to the add smtp footer search, and yes... you're lucky - it's a page with all these nice Third Party products that will be able to do what you want:

http://www.petri.co.il/add_footer_to_all_outgoing_mail.htm

Good luck!

Regards,

Nika.
