| 1.) When I want to add a contact via the "ICS 2006.04a Web Messaging Module", there are no field-labels (there are no labels in fornt of the inputboxes). The same problem, when I want to edit a contact. 2.) When I choose the german language at the login form, many things are screend in english (half de-DE & half us-US). I've bought the ICS 2006 NFR Package on 09. June 2006 - Can I upgrade to ICS 2006.1 with the same license? Because it seems that ICS 2006.04a is too buggy. The version bought on the NFR CD is ICS 2006.02a. With this version I had many language problems, too.

| Versions before 2006.10 did not have much for multi-language support, so you should really be using that version. If you have entered the license key when you installed your ICS system, then yes, you can upgrade. If when you do upgrade, you see the software will expire in 30 or less days, you may need to re-enter the key. There is an item in the IMail group to do this. If the key should not work, contact the Customer Service folks here at Ipswitch and give them the product Serial Number and they can get you a new key. Please note that these forums are user to user, not you to Ipswitch! We do check from time to time, but if you have something important, you should make direct contact with Ipswitch or your reseller/distributor. Daniel Donnelly |

| Hello Daniel Donnelly,
I fixed all problems now,...
I couldn't contact the customer support, because I didn't activate the License-key. Reason: I had to test several versions in a virtual environment, before upgrading from IMail Server 5.xx to Imail Secure Server 2006 / ICS 2006 (in my case in a VMWare). It was better "beta-testing" in VMWare before upgrading the Live IMail-Server in our office, which is provided to our customers :-). So I've spared a lot of trouble.
The Problems I've had with the contacts ... were issued by configuration failures in IIS 4.0. I have changed the path of the standardwebsite in IIS to the IClient folder, so some objects didn't get loaded. At the same time the virtual site of IClient was active underneeth the standardwebsite in IIS. |
