| I'm using WUG 7.04 and was using the Pager Notification with the TAP protocol for dial-out notifications to my cell phone. Unfortunately, my cellular carrier, Cingular, pulled their support of TAP 2 days ago. I have spoken to their tech support and tried to get SMS messaging set up. However, they are not listed on the provider list that came with the SMS plug-in. I've tried several setting and the system dials Cingular, Cingular answers, but I do not get a message and WUG comes back with a failure message when testing. I do not have internet access on the PC running WUG and cannot put it on there...it's a private network. Has anyone else used Cingular with SMS from WUG via dial-up? If so, what settings are you using? HELP! |

| Ignore my plea for help...it was an accident, but I got it to work. If anyone needs to use Cingular as an SMS provider via dial-up, here are the settings: Max Message Length: 140 Phone: 18009094602 Password: (none) SMS Script: _No LF Tap Modem Retry: 3 (or whatever you want) On the Modem Settings, the following settings should be set Baud Rate: 9600 Data bits: 7 Parity: Even Stop bits: 1 Under Control Panel, set the following on the modem Under Connection-Advanced, uncheck the Compress Data option |
