| Update: I tried WS FTP 9 and the error didn't occur! Since the company I work for just bought WS FTP Pro 8 less than a year ago, they're not going to upgrade to 9, so pls no messages saying "upgrade to 9" etc. I need this to work with 8, can someone tell me what the difference is between 8 and 9 concerning my error. btw, I can login using passive FTP, I just cannot login using SSH on that other machine. Thanks, Peter |

| Peter, Are you sure that the second computer is running 8.03? I didn't see the version number in the second log. The release notes for 8.02 mention a fix for SFTP v4.0 with the VanDyke server. So, please verify that the second machine is running 8.02 or higher. If it doesn't connect after that, you may want to try changing the SFTP version back to 3.0 by doing the following (also from the release notes): Additions to the site INI file: Setting the SFTP version ------------------------------------ This option allows the user to override the SFTP version used to connect with. The default for this value is version 4. This option will accept 3 and 4 as possible values. SFTPVersion=4 Hope this helps, Ben |
