Hello,

The patch for WS_FTP Home 2006 is almost 10 MB. This is larger than the actual product itself, and it has the same file name (WSFTP_HomeT128_Install.exe). Which makes me wonder: how do I install the patch? Do I have to uninstall 2006, and then reinstall 2006.01? Or just install 2006.01 over 2006? If I do this, will it keep my settings?

Thanks,
Shane.

Hi,

The patch is actually the full install file for version 2006.01 (no prior installation needed), but it will work as a patch for you.  You just need to run it over your current version and yes, your settings will be kept.

Dear Mr Garber,

Any chance of some assistance with my query?

I have a free version of ws_ftp95 and it suits just fine - except it won't delete directories on the remote server if there is anything in those directories. I have to farff around opening each remote directory, deleting all the contents, then going up one level and only then deleting that directory.

Will ftp_home delete remote directories without having to go through all the above carry-on?

Yooors,

Iain.
