Hello, Our WS_FTP Pro version has been verified by MS, not the HOME version. The error you see is a flag indicating that the particular version has not been verified. You can choose to run the program anyway and not to show you the error again. It will not prevent you from running or using the program. We are aware of this problem.

I have just downloaded ftp home 2007 (August 21 2008) and when starting the application i receive a message saying that the program is NOT Vista compatible. When I try to use your recommended link www.ipswitch.com/vistaDLC I am taken to the point where I already have downloaded the program from.

So how do I get a program that is Viste compatible?

Hi,

Got a problem again. My files are not showing on the site when I open WS_FTP. Like so:

Andrew,
It sounds like the permissions on your host has changed. Which is not uncommon. If that is the case your FTP Server administrator would have to look at your permissions. Do you have another ftp site you can test to see if you are able to make changes? If not, we can provide you with a test site.

Hi,

I don't have anything uploaded, all my old stuff is gone. When I try to drag a html page, or image etc, onto the pane, it doesn't transfer, and underneath the windows (Where you see the status bar of upload) it says "Access is denied".

And when I try to create a new folder e.g. html folder, it says "WS_FTP failed to create the specified folder. Please make sure that you have permissions to create this folder".

I would like to verify some things:

Are you getting any errors when attempting to upload files to your site?
Or, were you speaking of your Site profiles? Are they missing?

Hi,

I've just upgraded to Vista Ws FTP Home. The setup was fine and It is connected to my site. But it won't let me do anything. First of all, all my files are gone from my site from when I was using the last version of Home, plus it won't let me transfer anything, or create any folders.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just upgraded my desktop to a new HP with Windows Vista. I also just renewed by subscription to two licenses of the WS_FTP Home system. When I attempted to install the WS_FTP software on my new system, replacing the old computer, I got that infernal compatibility issues message. Yet the statement within the new WS_FTP download menu states that it is compatible with Vista.

Is there something that I am missing. I attempted to go to the link provided for VISTA in your message, but wound up at the same place that I was when I downloaded my newly purchased versions.

Glad to see it and I just bought it. However, I'm still getting an error that says it has known compatibility issues. The program does run. Why am I still getting this error and what can I do to fix it?

I am currently using FTP Home 2006. Will there be an update for this version for Vista or will I need to update (and pay) to the 2007 version?
