I've now been able to resize and move the Information Window, but it still isn't achoring. I dragged it far enough down that I lost it beneath the Windows Taskbar, but still it doesn't anchor.

I'll keep working with it and see what happens. I'm not sure why it isn't anchoring, but this is pretty frustrating. Still, I'm better than I was before I found this post! I undocked the transfer window, then dragged it down to the very bottom of the screen, whereupon it docks itself automatically below the local & remote panes.

I just hadn't dragged it down far enough before.

P.

RE: Information window won't lock back into position

For as long as I've been using WS_FTP Pro, the screen has been arranged with the local & remote folder windows side-by-side on top, and the information window/transfer manager positioned beneath them. All three windows have been panes in the same framework, so that if I raised the height of the transfer manager the local & remote panes became shorter.

By accident yesterday I hit some unknown keystroke combination that broke the transfer manager apart from the others. I seem to have two choices: either the transfer manager is minimized to a tab at screen left and opens up to the right, or it's a completely separate window that can overlay the local & remote panes but can't work with them.

How can I get back to the original configuration?

Thanks,
P.

RE: Information window won't lock back into position

James,

Double click on the frame of the informacion window (on top of the "Information Window" text). However, today as I'm using it, the Information Window "unlocked" from its position at the bottom of the window. And now I can't "lock" it back into position. I can have it "floating" above the main window, or make the Information window full-screen, but I can't lock it down at the bottom of the screen.

Any ideas?

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling but it didn't help.

I'm running WindowsXP Pro.

Thanks for your help.

James Ivey
