IMail 10.0 Technical Preview 1 Available Now!

You are invited to participate in the IMail Server 10.0 Technical Preview Program!

The IMail Development Team has been hard at work on the latest release of IMail. This release includes many exciting new features that have been requested from our user base. The Technical Preview Program allows users to interact directly with the IMail development team to experience and perfect new features and functionality within the software.

If you're enthusiastic about working with new technologies, new product features, and the latest versions of our applications, then we have some really exciting things to show you!

Note: We would recommend, at least for the early Preview versions, that you do not install on a production server. We are introducing an optional mail storage format that will introduce additional risk in a Preview release.

Highlights of What's New in IMail Server 10.0
•New Digital Rights Management. IMail Server 10.0 Technical Preview and future releases will require a new activation key upon first use.
•Optional MailDir message storage. Please see release notes linked below for details on how to change your system to the new format.
•Low bandwidth templates for Web Client.
•Web Client impersonation by system administrator.
•User password complexity settings.
•Account suspension for failed logins.
•Silent install options.
•Optional checkbox selection method in message grid for both low-bandwidth and standard web client templates.
•New user interface for contacts display, contacts create/edit, and user preferences screens.
•Defect fixes and improvements. See release notes for details.

There will be additional features in future Technical Previews Release Candidates which will be available before the final release of IMail Server 10.0.

The Technical Preview 3 is ready for download.

What's changed since Technical Preview 2:

-Domain Forwarding – Located in the SMTP Service settings page in the Web Admin, Domain Forwarding will allow messages to particular domains to be forwarded to another IP Address.

-Added support for silent installs

-Additional updates to the new Shared Calendar. We have also preserved the old calendar link on the Web Client for those users that wish to continue to use the old calendar.

Note: To migrate your user’s calendar data from the old calendar format into the new calendar, download following zip file and extract the contents into the IMail folder after installing the TPP. -Added the Require CRAM-MD5 setting to the System Settings page in the Web Admin. This setting now affects the IMAP service as well as the SMTP service.

-Corrected the Premium AntiSpam header defect for reporting Dirty IP and Scan Errors.

-Several other enhancements and defect fixes.

Multi Home Server. Bind smtp to all nics to send and receive. Gateway settings independent

Active Directory. Disable new accounts by default. If you set this parameter, smtp authentification fail.

The Technical Preview 2 is ready for download.

What's changed since Technical Preview 1:

1) MailDir has been removed for the IMail 10.0 release. After additional high load testing, we have determined that the performance gains did not meet our expectations. MailDir will be returned to the development team and will be revisited in a future release.

Note: If you have installed the TPP and enabled the MailDir feature, you must do the following before installing TPP2:
a)Update the UseMailDir key in the registry. Set it to 0.
b)Run convert.exe which can be found in the IMail directory.

2) A new Web Calendar has been added to the Web Client. Please note that this is a pre-release version and there is still some work to be done to the Calendar product.

Activation IMail 10.0

Hi,

Please help me about Activation IMail 10.0 Technical Preview:crying:

I tried to activate it by Offline Activation, Web browser indicates a URL and says "Uploading the offline activation file via the web". The URL is http://www.mtsunapee.com/ . I could check Mt. Sunapee's snow condition. How nice !:D But I do not think this site does not relate to IMail 10.0 Activation. Does IMail 10.0 have any problem about Activation ?

Activating Preview

What is the process of activating the Preview 10.0? Seems I can't get past the license activiation without a key file. Are we to use our previous license file?
