State change display

I'm using the IPSwitch Gold Pre. v11.

For ex. a access point was down for some time back, I received alert mail also, the same access point started working. when i saw in ipswitch still in red color but if i try to ping from ipswitch i'm getting ping reply. Why the display state color takes some time to change.

I think its purely related to device state icons. Can I get change the muniutes of color states. like if a accesspoint started pinging from outside of nms. at the same in ipswitch also should ping.

Can I have this.....

If anything i'm wrong pls. correct me.

Hi Guys can anyone help im gettin the following error:

A connection between the VPN server and the VPN client 196.207.32.233 has been established, but the VPN connection cannot be completed. The most common cause for this is that a firewall or router between the VPN server and the VPN client is not configured to allow Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) packets (protocol 47). Verify that the firewalls and routers between your VPN server and the Internet allow GRE packets. Make sure the firewalls and routers on the user's network are also configured to allow GRE packets. If the problem persists, have the user contact the Internet service provider (ISP) to determine whether the ISP might be blocking GRE packets.

Monitoring individaul interfaces of cisco router

Hello all, I am new to setting up and configuring alerts on What's Up Professional. I would like to send an alert when individual router interfaces go down on my cisco router. the interfaces do not have an individual IP addresses, so I can not use ping to tell if it is down (part of a bonded T1 circuit multilink configuration. so the two interfaces I want to monitor share a single IP address). I was told I have to use SNMP traps to monitor for up or down state. My question is how would I configure that in What's up Professional?

Insufficuent Disk Space during MSDE-2000 installation...

When I install What's Up Small Business Ed. The system always prompt me for insufficient disk space when start installing MSDE-2000. I'm pretty sure I have 4G of free space which is enough for it.

Someone ever experienced and able to solve this problem ?

Hi Brian:

I downloaded Professional a week or so ago to evaluate it. There was one feature in particular I was interested in, but didn't find it.

We have a business which copies/scans legal documents. Once a PDF of a document has been created, we place it on an FTP site, then email a link to the attorney who requested it so they can download it.

Here's what I was hoping Professional would do... I was hoping there was a feature which would allow the creation of password-protected directories on the fly. This way, each created directory would have a unique password which could be sent to the client.

There does appear to be a feature for password-encripting files, but not directories.

Would you say that .htaccess is the way to go?

Monitoring HTTP on port 8080?

I'd like to add a monitor to a HTTP service that's running on port 8080. Am I missing something, or does WhatsUp only ackowledge HTTP services on port 80?
