Where does it say that? Are there any settings to control this effect? Also, what do you mean by "white list complaints"?
~ MiJaMu

RE: Antispam

glad i helped. i didnt read my posts.. but do not use foreign country blocks they usually cause smtp service crashes. nerd.country (some block list that blocks all emails from a desired country)... use to crash our server since they time out to easily. keep that in mind:)

RE: Antispam

thank you.. that really helped improving my antispam filter

RE: Antispam

Try placing your url list and phrase list in each domains directory as well (copy/paste). Then everytime you make changes to the main files (imail folder) copy/paste the new editions into each domain if you have more then one.

Please check my other post as well with a little more information then this.

For connection checks, uncheck all the boxes at the bottom except for the one that says mark with "x-imspam connections" if its not there, add that.

basically turn on all your antispam settings, and make it so that each one adds something to the subject line like:
x-imspam blockurl
x-imspam phrase

etc....

then make a inbound rule that looks for x-imspam in the subject line, if found move to folder SPAM

its either x-ispam or x-imspam something like that.

then use my new larger phrase list in either this reply or one of my other antispam posts. also check out my connection dns blacklists.

add them to your dns black lists under "systems"... then go to connection checks and add them their as well, second.

RE: Antispam

First of all turn these on under antispam: (login to webadmin in imail)

1.premium antispam filter
phrase filter
url-block list (urldomian bl) something like that

2. click "system"
click "dns blacklists"

add these blacklists as type DNS (only do type DNS!!!) (as both name and query domain name or copy paste it twice, switch to dns)

add the following urlbl (black lists/block lists): so do it once for each...
zen.spamhaus.org
bl.spamcop.net
psbl.surriel.com
porn.rhs.mailpolice.com
fraud.rhs.mailpolice.com
asiaspam.spamblocked.com
adult.rhs.mailpolice.com
ix.dnsbl.manitu.net
recent.spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net

3. then click antispam, go to "connection checks"
make sure "Prefix Subject with: X-IMSPAM connection" is only check. ignore the check boxes above it. Then click "add"

add your rescently added servers from part 2.
-periodically save along the way

4. now the default antispam settings suck, go to the program files folder for imail, where you have the following "phrase-list.txt"

you can then copy paste my larger cleaned up databases here. they are about 99% free of false positives. i get about 2 requests a week from a 50 person company to fix false spam. pm me your email for an updated phrase list and url-domain-bl.txt list.

5. have everyone add contacts to their address book and white list complaints (false positives) remind them to add these people to their address book to save headaches

6. WARNING: imail anti-spam settings are broken. they claim they are fixing the issues based on my reports. basically if you type

??hello??

as spam in the phrase list... they will negate the question marks and delete all emails that have hello in it! so the phrase list often deletes non-letter/number characters. so don't get carried away with the phrase list till they fix it.

for instance, if you want to block email with:
c.r.e.d.it. off.er

it might block all emails that say "credit offer" not just the fake ones.

RE: Antispam

yeah...i've tryed that many times.
