And, had to have the alias for "company.com" to "email.company.com" too.

Now, if IPSwitch will fix the constant disconnect problems, then it might be a worth while program to use...

RE: Users not able to logon to IM Server

If you see it trying to login over and over again it means the client can can't resolve the domain or the @domain portion of the UserID.

Try pinging @domain.com portion, does it resolve to the same IP as the machine running the IM Server.

RE: Users not able to logon to IM Server

I have the same problem, except that mine just keeps trying to log in over and over - I was up to 750 tries before I cancelled it.

Any other ideas.....

RE: Users not able to logon to IM Server

test post

RE: Users not able to logon to IM Server

Try this:

user@imserver.domain.com

where imserver is the server where you have installed the IM

that worked on my case.

Regards

Jorge

RE: Users not able to logon to IM Server

Hi ,

I got the exact error as U!

Besides, I checked the NT and IM Authentication and three are the same!

Invalid user and/or password...

I tried user@111.222.333.444 and the error was the same...

the log file says :

Request Failed: Request=1, IpAddress=111.222.333.444, ErrorCode=1326, ErrorMsg=Invalid account name or password.

Can anyone help??

RE: Users not able to logon to IM Server

If you are using the IMail database for IIM you most likely have the host alias selected in the IM Server Manager. You have 2 choices. 1) balnk out the host alias field in the IM server manager for the Imail database. Select the official host name and click edit then remove the host alias. Or you can make sure the host alias resolves to the IP address of the IM server

Users not able to logon to IM Server

Hi,

I installed the new version of ICS (2.0).

The IMail Server works fine and Web mail to, but the IM dosn't work.

I installed the IM Client Version 2.0.3.50 but i have ( Invalid account name or password )

I try with the Account Names: userid, userid@my.domain.com, userid@192.168.1.2

and their password, but i can't connect with the IM server, I am using the Imail Server Database for authentication.

Thanks..
