Please see:

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

----PART.BOUNDARY.1
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

----PART.BOUNDARY.1
Content-Type: text/plain; name="QSYSPRT.TXT"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Content-Disposition: inline; filename="QSYSPRT.TXT" (bolded for emphasis)

IMail is being instructed to display this email as inline, not as an attachment. The sending client needs to change that inline to attachment if it wants mail clients to display as an attachment. Outlook tends to handle multipart/mixed messages as attachments and has been displaying them incorrectly for awhile now. As seen when you have a text body and an html signature, Outlook will display one as an attachment instead of both in body of email. Outlook Express is dispalying the email with the attachment and inline.

For this file to be displayed as an attachment by all mail clients, change the Content-Disposition to attachment instead of inline.

Tamara
Ipswitch Messaging Support

RE: txt file coming into body of web email instead of attachment

Yes we ran the convert.exe.
