The Web customization thread, at 10 pages is getting difficult to navigate and track answers.

A Searchable FAQ page would be nice, but in the interim, I have a few issues that I vaguely remember seeing addressed, but can no longer locate answers for.

First:  When running under IIS vs the built-in Server; I can't seem to have a virtual directory named anything other than \NMCONSOLE and expect any operational capability at all.    The name of the Virtual Directory should be able to be anything we want, (I'd like to use WUG or NetStatus)

Second; When operating under IIS, one of the Meta tag lines show up as text on some of the pages.  Specifically, "?!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> ".  I'm not sure why IIS is parsing this as part of the content, but I'd sure like it to go away.

Going to IIS, I also have the same on each page until I drill down to device level. Minor annoyance, but.......

the above error (the ?...) is adressed in the web customization thread:

just delete the hex FF's at the end of many of the .inc and .asp files.

and if you are there, also fix the report.asp (as also mentioned in above thread).

it is a bug i already reported to ipswitch, and i hope they make a faq for those known bugs soon, as this will obviously not be fixed with the next sp (according to ipswitch).
