Hi,

I have added one hardisc. My older hardisc (with OS) has the WS_FTP Pro 8.0 installed. Now, I have installed the OS in the new harddisc and installed WS_FTP Pro 8.0. Can I transfer the sites information that I created/stored in my older Harddisc to the newer OS.

Is there a way by which one can export/import site settings?

Look for the file "ws_ftp.ini". On Win2K for example this is in the "C:\Documents and Settings\%USER%\Application Data\Ipswitch\Sites" folder, where %user% is the name of the user (Administrator perhaps) used to install Ws FTP Pro. It varies depending on the Operating system and the username so do a search to find it.

If you find multiple copies of the "ws_ftp.ini" file, then just log onto any ftp site, and check the time/date stamp of the 'ini' files - the one update to your logon time/date is the one you want.

Save a copy of this file, and then copy it file to the new installation of Ws FTP Pro, into the folder where the default "ws_ftp.ini" is located.
